The Brownell Center for Behavioral Health, an Article 31 Outpatient Clinic licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH), is the largest provider of outpatient mental health services in Central New York. Using a number of evidence-based practices, Brownell Center provides individual, family, and group therapy; co-occurring substance abuse and mental health treatment; psychiatric evaluation; and medication management services to adults, children, and families.
The Children’s Mental Health HCBS Waiver Program serves children with complex, significant mental health needs in their homes and communities, thereby decreasing the need for placement to intermediate psychiatric inpatient and residential treatment facility levels of care. The goal of the HCBS Waiver program is to give families and youth the supports that are needed in order for the youth to remain at home with their families and in their community.
Victims of Violence provides free and confidential services to those affected by sexual assault, domestic violence or other violent crimes in Madison County and surrounding communities. Services are available to all victims and their family, regardless of when the abuse or crime occurred or whether they choose to report it to the police.
